Did you know that people form first impressions in 7 seconds? That means that potential home buyers have already formed a first impression of your home before they even walk in the front door. How can you make sure their first impression is a good one? Read below for 7 ways to improve your home's curb appeal and give buyer's that "love at first sight" feeling.
Update Front Door
If your front door is old you may want to consider replacing it with something fresh & modern. If this isn't in the budget, a fresh coat of paint is an inexpensive way to give the front door a new & fresh look. If your door has glass inserts, make sure to give them a good clean.
Upgrade Your Outdoor Lights
Lighting is one of my favourite inexpensive ways to update a home's look. Purchasing a couple of new & modern outdoor light fixtures has a great return on investment, drastically improving the look of the outside of the home without breaking the bank.
Replace Your Mailbox
Most mailboxes I come across are rusted, peeling and falling apart. Replacing your mailbox with something fresh & modern is a great way to improve your curb appeal.

If a new door isn't in the budget, coupling a fresh coat of paint with a new door handle can completely modernize even an old door. Black hardware is still very trendy and will give your entrance a fantastic modern look.

Many people have never updated their house number or still have the house number from the original builder. Etsy has some wonderful house numbers that are inexpensive, and easy to install. Not only will this improve your curb appeal, but it'll also make it easier for buyers and other guests to locate your home on the street.
Add Florals/Greenery
While many people add florals to their homes during the summer, you can add greenery to your home's entranceway no matter what time of year you choose to list. If budget is of concern, there are some great plastic planters that you can buy that will look great and keep costs down.
Add Inviting Porch Furniture
If your outdoor furniture has seen better days, consider replacing it with something new. Porch furniture can create an inviting atmosphere as people enter your home, and they can picture themselves enjoying their morning cup of coffee on the porch.
